Is Ava a chatbot?
Ava can answer questions, but that is the beginning—not the product. She is designed to work with files, supported Mac interfaces, browser workflows, context, memory, and multi-step tasks.
Does Ava require a subscription?
Ava itself is a one-time purchase for the included version line. AI access uses your own eligible ChatGPT account, whose plan, limits, and provider terms are separate.
What updates are included?
The Founding Edition includes all Ava 0.x beta updates, Ava 1.0, and every Ava 1.x update. Future major versions such as Ava 2.0 are not automatically included.
Which Macs are supported?
The universal app supports Apple Silicon and Intel Macs running macOS 13 or later. Physical Intel/macOS 13 and clean-Mac acceptance remain incomplete during the current beta.
Can Ava control my computer?
Yes, for authorized tasks after you enable computer access and grant macOS Screen Recording and Accessibility permissions. Ava rejects secure fields and does not continuously watch your screen.
What is the refund policy?
The proposed Founding Edition policy provides a 14-day refund window for good-faith requests. Final purchase terms will be shown before checkout opens.
