Ava for Mac
Apple Silicon or Intel · macOS 13 or later · internet connection · your own eligible ChatGPT account. Allow approximately 1 GB of free space. Physical Intel/macOS 13 and clean-Mac acceptance remain incomplete during the current beta.

Install Ava
Download the Mac installer above, open it, and move Ava to Applications. Trial, Lite, and Full all use this same app.

Connect your Ava account
Open Ava and start account sign-in. A browser page asks you to confirm a connection code. Compare it with the code in Ava, approve your own Mac, then return to the app.

Sign in to your AI account
Follow Ava’s in-app instructions to sign in to your eligible ChatGPT account. This powers the AI and is separate from your Ava plan. Provider costs and usage limits still apply.

Choose computer permissions
During Trial or Full, enable computer access for tasks that need it. macOS may ask for Screen Recording and Accessibility permissions in System Settings → Privacy & Security. Lite conversations do not require computer access.

Make Ava yours
Start a conversation and adjust the available personality settings. Find your plan and connected Macs in your Ava account. The app refreshes account access over the internet.
