Your information in Ava

Know what goes where.

This page explains how the Ava product works with your information. For Spade Creative’s site policy, read the privacy policy.

Your Ava account

Ava uses Supabase for email sign-in and account data. The account service stores your email, account identifier, trial dates, plan and billing status, and connected-device records. Device records include a name, connection and last-seen timestamps, expiry, and revocation status. Session credentials are stored as hashes in the account database.

Payments and billing

Stripe hosts checkout and the billing portal. You enter payment details there. Ava’s account records store Stripe customer, subscription, and relevant payment identifiers so confirmed payments and subscription changes can update your access. Your Ava account page links to billing management.

Conversation and context

The desktop app keeps conversation history, settings, schedules, and reviewed memory on your Mac. To answer a request or carry out a task, Ava sends the text and selected context needed for that request through its included AI engine to the provider account you sign into. For an authorized computer task, that context can include window images.

Your eligible ChatGPT account is separate from your Ava account. The provider’s own terms, data handling, and usage limits apply to the AI service. This page does not replace those policies.

Computer access is a separate capability

Ava Lite cannot see your screen, control your computer, interact with other apps, or run scheduled tasks. Pasting text into a conversation shares that text with Ava; it does not give Lite access to the original app or message.

Trial and Full make computer capabilities available. You still choose when to enable them and grant the required macOS permissions. Review Screen Recording and Accessibility access in System Settings → Privacy & Security.

Connected Macs and revocation

Connecting a Mac requires confirmation of its code in your browser. You can disconnect a Mac from your Ava account. The server then rejects that device’s account credential. Previously issued Full access expires within five minutes, and the app must refresh access to continue using Full capabilities.

Disconnecting a Mac does not remotely erase conversation history, downloaded files, or other information already stored on that computer.
